Eco-Ethics International Union (EEIU) has been founded by Prof. Otto Kinne and Prof. Gennady Polikarpov on March 25, 1998. It consists of Global Components and Local Components. The Global Component has its Headquarters at International Ecology Institute, 21385 ldendorf/Luhe,Germany. Local Components operate in different countries, cities, universities, schools, etc. NEEF is collaborating with EEIU- India Chapter managed by Dr. Vinod K. Sharma, Professor at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai-400065 (India) (www.igidr.ac.in/~vks) NEEF alongwith EEIU-India intends to start several activities for the furtherance of EEIU-Germany's objectives. At present EEIU- India has about 70 Life Members and Volunteers and increasing its affiliates in India. Some Recent Activities Chairperson of EEUI- India extended his sincere invitation to all EEIU-Chapters to participate in an International Conference on "EcoBalance and Life Cycle Assessment" which he is organising at IGIDR during February 13-15, 2002. Accordingly, all Foreign delegates will be offered complimentary local hospitality and they need to arrange only international travel to participate in the conference.
