PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES
The Foundation's activities have special focus on Environmental Education, Research, Publications, Engineering Consultancy and Media development coordinated by different groups. Environment Education This programme includes correspondence and regular courses for Ph.D. and  Postgraduate Degrees and Diplomas in Collaboration with other organisations in India and Abroad. NEEF also conducts  PG Diploma and Certificate Courses. The course content of Diploma Courses are equivalent to those of postgraduate degree courses of premier institutes in India and abroad and are designed to provide in-depth knowledge to graduate students. There is also a provision for short-term certificate courses for women, school children and other aspirants who want to know about and care for the environment. Advance Training Courses have been planned to impart knowledge to Environmental professionals on various timely topics. These are instrumental in nature, focusing on current issues. Participants may receive certificate of environmental professionalism by passing a comprehensive examination to be conducted with the help of outstanding experts. The Foundation also plans to offer an intensive schedule of Advance Training Courses - a series of courses designed for both the novice and the seasoned professionals. Environmental Research This group is involved in conducting basic and advance research with multi-disciplinary perspectives. The group may include Engineers, Scientists, Sociologists, Economists, Agriculturists, Planners, Architects and several other professionals. Collection of base level and secondary data, transferring the knowledge and technical know-how between professionals and grass root level workers, conducting local, regional, national and international seminars, workshops and conferences are among the agenda of this group. The research outcome is published and disseminated widely at all levels. Environmental Consultancy Environmental Auditing, Environmental Impact Assessment, Design of Waste Water Treatment Plants and Industrial Stacks, Pollution Abatement Measures and similar other activities are undertaken by this group. The industries, private sector and government organisations can approach this group for cost-effective solution of environmental problems. Environment Media The media group is dedicated to create environmental awareness among people with the help of Audio-visual programs, such as Documentaries, Street Plays, Dramas and Stage Shows etc. The programs are designed in an entertaining way so as to have impact on one and all. Organising Awareness Camps, Training Programs etc. for people at grass root level are other major activities of this group. Publications such as books, proceedings, monographs and periodicals in the form of journals, newsletters etc. are also brought out by this group.
